nightcrossed((OOC: Get ready for some major filter abuse and tl;dr. The margins, additionally, are scattered with clusters of notes from her combat trainings and teachings with various people written in a small script which is nearly impossible to read without the aid of a magnifying glass.
There's notes about adjusting her aim, strategies for dealing with enemies attacking from the air, approximations about how long it takes for fonons to gather in one area, and ideas for how to test the limits of hyperresonance. If anyone wants to arpee any of this stuff out, poke me, otherwise I'll just assume it's happened/been happening all along to avoid plot holes.Because they make driving dangerous.))
I finally took another look at the room listings. It feels rather like snooping, but it's not as if I'm doing anything wrong. And it's not as if it has nothing to do with me, especially now. That man had written that he was rooming with Roy, whom I've also met since coming here - the name listed in that room besides Roy himself was... Asch.
I've heard the name spoken before. I'm certain I have. Back then,when I was eavesdropping, Major Legretta was asking Van what they should do about someone named Asch, and Van said he was concerned because he was still "a little dainty". He doesn't exactly seem dainty to me. So is this the person Van was worried about discovering his plans? It has to be. There's no other explanation as to why--
It still doesn't make a great deal of sense, but I feel confident this is the same Asch they were talking about. If so, and if he knew of Van's true intent, would he not try to rise up against him? Van seemed afraid that something like that would happen - that he'd be found out and that this person would either protest or break. Does that then make this person one of Van's subordinates or at least a pawn? Like Major Legretta? And the other one they mentioned... Sync?
I wish I could talk to someone about this, but nobody knows anything. It would be pointless to confide in anyone as things stand now.
But the part I haven't figured out yet, and the part that concerns me the most, is why he and Luke look so much alike. You can tell them apart easily, but, having spent the past handful of months around Luke, there are comparisons between them that I shouldn't logically be able to make, even if they were related to one another. It just doesn't quite add up. To be honest, very little about Luke adds up.
It doesn't matter, I suppose. I can't know for sure what has come to pass, but I should do what I can to gain both Luke and Asch's trust. It's not as if I can do anything about Van on my own... I've come to realize that now. I can't do very much even on this island. To think I believed I could single-handedly take down-- that I could even raise a finger against my own brother who has a great deal of influence within and without the Oracle Knights... I was stupid for overestimating myself.

As for the ceremony or festival...? at the shrine, for Fay's sake I hope it goes well, but I can't help wondering just how wise it is to try to catch the island's attention. Enough strange things take place without trying to coax them out.

Singing I could understand, but dancing... I'm not very good at it.

Fay's planning an event of some kind at the Hakurei Shrine. It'd be nice if everyone could give him support, since he seems to have been working diligently to prepare for it.
