[Hymn #4 Reprise]

It's so draining...
I don't think I'm cut out for cheering people up. Maybe I just don't have the patience for it...

In any case, at least Renge seems to be doing better. I think she'll be able to fully recover soon. Hopefully, anyway. A lot of people seem to be checking in on her, and I'm sure the social interaction is helping.

I still haven't managed to get a job yet, but I did make it to the library today. There really are a lot of books available, and I borrowed quite a few. Since the weather was nice, I spent the afternoon reading outside near the lake.

I haven't discovered very much, but I am thinking I must have had some kind of physical training at some point in my life. Why do I think this? Well, the books were quite heavy, but I didn't have to stop to catch my breath while I was carrying them. I wonder if there's anything else that would lend to good breathing habits, though?

Also, I was invited to a picnic by someone named Fay and encouraged to bring a friend if I wanted to. I'm not sure of the exact date and time (or place, even), but to be blunt - I don't know who I'd bring.

[No, she doesn't know magic of course.]

You're. Disgusting. [incoherent muttering]

[Any threat would be useless since she can't even remember how to throw her knives straight.]

I swear there are nuns that are less stodgy than you women.

An empty threat would have been pointless.

If you're going to complain, then you're perfectly welcome to leave.

There's no charge for looking, but the attitude is a total turn-off.

*off he goes.*
