[Hymn #18] [Movement]

[Tear can be found in the cafe's kitchen after hours with a few cookbooks spread out on the countertop among various fruits and other ingredients and garnishes. The light in the front dining room is still on, so there's ample light. Thanks to a suggestion from Fay about trying to recreate tastes from the other residents' home worlds, she's decided to try her hand at *gaspeth!* cooking so that she'll be able to help out. Her current project is a pastry which smells heavily of apples. Apple crisp? Apple pie? Something like that.

(Nothing's burning just so you know. Tear-mun's done her research and guarantees it's edible and at least 'decent'.)

Tear pulls said pastry from the oven. Steam rolls off it and the smell of apples in the cafe doubles.]

I think that should do it...

[Blink.]

Another one...?

Oh. You actually remembered my name this time.

Well, I'm not sure if it's actually edible or not...

I thought I should learn to cook if I'm going to continue to work here. And besides, Fay came up with the idea to try recreating dishes from the other worlds, and I didn't want to bother the manager with every little thing.

I'll cut you a piece if you're not afraid to try it.

Why would I be afraid to try something that smells this delicious? Load me up!

[She shakes her head lightly. I don't think Tear ever laughs, but there's a hint of amusement in her voice.]

Honestly, how old are you, ten? Your personality completely changes when food's involved. That reminds me... apparently Sakura-chan's been busy, so there's no set date for the picnic yet, but they're still planning on holding one.

[She hands Luke a generous slice of the pastry on a plate along with a fork.]

You said you're the son of a duke, right? I'm willing to wager your family hired famous chefs to cook for them, so your input would probably be the most beneficial. Somehow Raven seems like the type who would lie if it was bad and dismiss the taste as a "minor detail".

You can tell me if it's awful. It won't hurt my feelings.

*picks up his fork, breaks a piece off, and slowly eats it*

[This just reinforced her point.]

[Smiles.] Thank you.
