[OOC] Cooking Competition Sign-Up Post

Here's how I'm going to do it (I think...), since I figure most people don't care about roleplaying out the actual cooking part anyway. If you want to, DOWIT(!), if you don't want to, you don't hafta. So rules...

I will leave this thread open to entrants until around August 5 or 6. (Why then? Because I won't be here the following week and would like to have winners determined before then.)

If you want your character(s) to participate, comment here with the journal/name and a cooking score (based on what's shown in canon and/or your best judgment).

The score will go from 0 to 10, with 0 being a character who should NOT be allowed in the kitchen at all, 5 being average, and 10 being someone experienced enough to open their own restaurant. On top of this score I will add an additional number based on a dice roll, so the winners will be determined via a combination of skill and luck.

Also, if your character is going to cheat in some way, let me know that too. Just be aware that there's a chance said character will be caught and disqualified if they chose to cheat in an obvious way.

As for the prizes, your character can interpret it either of two ways or a combination of both. Either that character can go on a date with one of the waitresses, or they can invite their girlfriend/boyfriend/pals/whatever and have one of the waitresses cook for them (irony? yes...), or you can mix it up however you and the other mun decide. 1st place gets to pick which waitress they want, 2nd picks from the remaining two, 3rd gets the waitress who's left. In case you missed it, those waitresses are Colette, Rena, and Tear. Consolation prizes will be something along the lines of coupons for free or discounted food from the cafe.

If you change your mind and don't wanna be a part of this, just let me know. I'm only responsible for Tear, and will be happy to roleplay out the results with whoever gets stuck with her when I get back from vacation. That's it!

I'm going to be honest, his cooking skill is like a 52 on that scale. >.>; Hayate is better at cooking than most 5 star gourmet chefs. Literally, I would have to wager him as the best cook on the island (that I am aware of anyways). Also, I want him to win the date because he has no idea that that happens to be the prize.

And on the off chance he happens to lose, it must be insanely disastrous to the tenth degree.

Mist will join. She has no astounding talent, nor has she been trained in the ways of the gourmet, but she *has* been cooking for the island for well over a year (as head cook), certainly with experiments along the way. I'd put her at 8.5 or so.

A cooking contest sounds fun, so Winry would like to join in! She's cooked a Christmas dinner and stuff, so she's pretty good at cooking. Her major flaw is that she follows the book and treats cooking like a science, so there won't be much artsy creativity...

So probably a 5 or 6?

Rika is going to enter. Her skill level is probably only a 4 or 5, but she'll be putting effort into making her food look cute and use her moe eyes on the judges, if she can.
