This is true, although there have also been cases where no one has remembered anything, but there's usually at least some lasting effect at the end of an event's duration. I suppose we'll see.
And yes. It could always be worse. Sometimes, however, it's difficult to find a possitive side because the events themselves are so ridiculous.
