[[OOC: This and subsequent entries take place after the hiking thread (which is still going on, as far as I know) And her maid outfit is as close as I can get to a cafe uniform so, enjoy.]]

[Tear sat at one of the cafe tables with a sheet of paper and a pen, comprising a list. The room was mostly vacant and the atmosphere relaxed. The restaurant's manager had set her about the task of coming up with ideas to attract more customers, and she was brainstorming dutifully. It didn't hurt that an influx of customers brought with it the potential for tips, which she didn't particularly need, but were bound to be useful eventually for lessons or supplies.

So far she had written down the obvious: extending the menu, lowering prices, advertising, offering some form of entertainment, following some sort of theme which might be popular with the other residents (or maybe switching themes every week so that returning customers would have something to look forward to). It had also crossed her mind that hiring more staff members might draw a larger crowd - after all, there was only so much she could do by herself, and she didn't much want to run herself ragged if it could be avoided. Although, it was fairly obvious that Tear was the type to do just that unless someone convinced her to stop.

Tear paused in her work long enough to adjust her headband and help herself to another sip of tea.]

Even with the addition of a heavy coat and winter clothing, it's still horribly cold out there. (Thank you so much for that, Fay-san. You're too kind.)

I couldn't bring myself to miss my first day of waitressing, so I went, but there doesn't seem to be anyone much out and about in this mess. It's hardly worth it, and I get the feeling that I will regret making the journey after a few more days of it. Oh well, it's better than being stuck in the room all day.

That said, for those that are unwilling to leave the apartments (and everyone else, too, for that matter), a few others and myself are offering door-to-door tea service. I can guarantee it's hot, so if you'd like a cup on the house, just let one of us know and we'll bring it up for you.

I wanted to do something for everyone, and this was all I could come up with...

[OOC: Fay loaned her money... she probably spent $50 on warm boots w/o heels, $50 on a warmer outfit with SLEEVES, $100 on a nice, heavy coat, and another $50 on tea for everyone.]

[She is currently bundled up under about four or five layers of blankets, shivering like mad.]

Oh, this is just wonderful...
Right when I finally get a job it turns freezing cold outside.

I really don't want to leave the building, but there's not very much to do indoors. Unless I decided to read Renge's manga; I'm not that desperate, however.

I guess I could try setting up a cafe in the apartment building, if anyone would donate some tea or coffee, or if anyone knows how to cook... I don't think I trust myself in the kitchen just yet.

Boss, you don't really expect me to show up wearing a skirt in this weather, do you?

I guess I don't have much of a choice. I need the money.
But are any customers even going to show up? I highly doubt it.
