Mystearica Aura Fende. That's what Misa-Misa said my name was, at least. It seems like it could be correct, judging it against my brother's name. But it makes me wonder if there's a reason besides convenience's sake that I remembered myself simply as "Tear".
I suppose shorter's just easier...

I can't say that I thoroughly understand her abilities, but they do seem useful enough, especially if you worked alongside healers or medics. The more I think about it, though, there really does seem to be a pattern. A lot of the people I've met seem to either have unique abilities, were important where they came from, or both. Perhaps there's a purpose for gathering people with a wide variety of specialties? Well, it's not like anyone can give me an answer. Moving on...

Speaking of people I've met, a lot of those I was introduced to when I first got here have since disappeared. Some people seem worried about that, as if this place is dying, or rather, that it'll "never be born". I don't think this place is dying so much as changing, but I dislike that aspect of it all the same. Disappearing. What happens to a person who disappears... do they appear elsewhere at the same rate and merely get transferred to another place, or is there actually a moment when they no longer exist?

Other than all that, I'm seriously thinking that this might be an ideal time for me to find a pet. ...I'm really sorry about earlier...!

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't think I'm allergic to any animals, but it can't be one that would knock over or try to ingest plants now that I've finally succeeded in getting them to bloom properly.

If you don't mind my asking, though, how come you got stuck like that in the first place? Is that normal for you, or was it another of those events that occur every once in a while, or...?

Pay it no mind. You would think I had control over my faculties, but there were several... unexpected factors.

It was, ah, a music box I purchased while here. Playing it is similar to a much shortened event, usually only lasting for a day.

Come to think of it, I do remember seeing a lot of strange items in the artifacts shop. There was even a rod that smelled oddly of flowers.

I guess it's no surprise that people like Rosette are focusing their efforts on tracking down unusual objects in an attempt to regain memories if they can cause things like what I saw yesterday.

That would be why I opened it. Twice, when others listened to it with me, they rememebered something shortly thereafter. I thought that was the key... but, ah, I thought wrong.

Do you think perhaps it has something to do with the people who were present? Maybe the first two individuals had something in common that the third did not.

Or maybe something you did was different the third time. It's easier to isolate a problem when there are fewer variables, after all. The key to making it work as you want it to could be something seemingly mundane.

Well, the first two weren't from Elibe, the third was. As for anything I did wrong... hm. I wish I could think of something, but after about five uses, I can't think of anything I did wrong at certain points unless it has something to do with thought processes.

Location, no. Most of them, I was in my room, and the time it repeated, I was in two separate locations. Unless moving to a different location triggers it along with someone else. Hm.

Time of day, it tends to be around the same time, I believe.

I can't think of anything else it's likely to be. Sorry. Frankly, I feel it could be anything.

Although couldn't it also be possible that the effects of the music box are completely random, and the pattern you saw was a coincidence?

Entirely possible. But without testing a pattern, how could you be sure which it was? My last hypothesis was wrong, and while "completely random" is always a possibility, I'd prefer not to say that and stop trying to figure this out.

I suppose that makes sense, given how dangerous it could be to possess an item with those kinds of abilities and not be able to understand how it works.
